Ben Cavazos is a shining example of the American dream in action. As a young Mexican-American, he labored in the citrus fields of south Texas for 10 cents an hour. He overcame racial prejudice, winning respect by displaying the virtues of integrity, hard work, and determination. He joined the service, attended auto electric school and then went on to college to study business.
